Self Defense

The law of self preservation is as old as time itself.
You have a right to defend yourself against unjustified attack.
As a matter of fact, it would be wrong for you to allow harm to come to yourself if you had the means to do something about it.

But this is a sick world we live in where the criminal element has more rights than the victim and good people who do the right thing are labeled as vigilantes and punished. You are never a vigilante for defending yourself, for two very big reasons. 1.) The definition of a vigilante is one who makes up their own law and then sets out to pass gudgement against another acording to that law and then administer a sentence, completely outside of the established rule of law of the land. Defending yourself from unjustified attack is not even remotely similar to vigilanteizm. 2.) It is not the job of the police to defend you fom harm. Those who would accuse you of being a vigilante for defending yourself, imply that you are doing the job of the police by doing so. But nothing could be further from the truth because your defense is not a duty that law enforsement is charged to perform.

Self Defense requires preperation and planning in order to be genuinely effective, and this is why it is extremely important for you to be fully convinced that you have the right to defend yourself from unjustified attack.
